Even smaller constructions like solar systems, outside staircases or industrial sheds are usually based on solid foundations. The earth has to be dug up and taken away. The concrete needed has to be delivered and cast together with its steel reinforcements. It is weeks before the foundation is fully ready to take loads.
BFTec has developed a Borefundament which can provide a fastening with a load-bearing capacity of up to 30 t in the ground, without expensive concrete work. The supporting element is a steel tube with a diameter of 60 to 355 mm, depending on the intended purpose. Specially formed cutting helix that are welded to the tube at the top and bottom of the planned fastening length, are used to screw it into the ground. Smaller tubes are installed with a manual turning machine and larger tubes with a special digger. Pre-drilling is required for diameters greater than 300 mm, and for fastening in rocky ground. If it has to be removed, the tube can be screwed back out of the ground. There is no rubble.
Steel Borefundaments are characterized by their wide range of applications, easy handling and great economy. They are used wherever a fast, cost effective construction method is required and, thanks to the efficient use of materials, wherever an environmentally-friendly construction method is required.
